Longterm Rentals
For how much you can rent a villa, house or apartment to Bali for a period of a month or longer.
If you arrive on the island of Bali for more than a month, renting a private villa, house or apartment makes great sense and will save you a lot. The difference in price for the short and long term rental in Bali is huge, but often owners often want to get the whole sum in advance, whether it’s a couple of months or 5 years.
Thus, the approximate price of rent:
Villa with 2-3 bedrooms and a swimming pool for a period of 1 to 5 months – from 12 million rupiahs a month, from 100 million a year
Nice house with 2-3 bedrooms without pool or 1-2 bedroom apartment 6-8 million per month, from 45-70 million per year.
A simple house with 1-2 bedrooms 3-4 million per month, 25-30 million per year
For all rentals for up to six months in the price usually includes electricity charges and house cleaning 5-6 times a week (a change of clothes, washing dishes, cleaning the pool, if it exists). If you rent house/apartments for one year and longer, normally you do have to pay for electricity and pay extra for maid service (ranging from 500 thousand rupiahs per month)
If you want to rent a property for more than a year – the price will be even lower, but you may have to pay the entire amount in advance.
The longer you plan to live in a rented place, the more carefully you should to check the house / apartment. Check all plumbing, air conditioning and all cooking utensils. Make sure the roof is not leaking, and there is no dampness in the rooms. Check out how the pool works, check all the details about the house cleaning, internet and so forth. In general, make a list of questions beforehand, so as not to miss important details when you come to see the place.
