ATMs in Bali are very common, but most of them allow you to withdraw only 1.5 million rupiahs at a time, as they are loaded with denominations of 50 thousand rupiahs, and the maximum number of bills per withdrawal is 25-30 note. In tourist areas you can find ATMs of CommonWealth bank and as a rule, they are loaded with bills in denominations of 100,000 Indonesian rupiah, so you can withdraw 3 million at a time. Just sometimes there are other ATMs that issue bills of 100,000 and this is usually indicated on the ATM so you can understand it before inserting your credit card.
Many restaurants and all almost the supermarkets in tourist areas in Bali accept credit cards, but you should not rely on your card if you leave the biggest tourist areas. In this case you should take care of the cash advance.
