Buses and vans
Public transportation in Bali is very poorly developed, if you’re used to a comfortable air-conditioned buses in Thailand and Malaysia, you can just forget about them. Only locals who have no motorbike use buses in Bali since and 3-5 hour trip by car can be equal to the 7-8 hours bus ride away. In addition to buses there are some shuttle vans routes between major tourist sites, however, tickets are quite expensive and it is often easier to hire a car, especially if you’re not alone.
